Headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, APS specializes in the innovation and custom crafting of power conversion and distribution systems for armored, security, commercial, marine and purpose-built specialty vehicles like RVs and luxury motor coaches. APS products include high output alternators, custom alternator brackets and dual alternator bracket kits, DC-DC boost converters, DC-DC step down converters, high idle switches, and more. Our dedicated and intelligent staff has nearly 300 years of combined experience in the various fields of expertise we handle, making us a unique and trusted business partner.
In March 2020, APS was honored as Small Business Exporter of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Region VII office, which represents Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. The company was recognized in 2023 as the Small Business Supplier of the Year by Battelle, the largest independent, non-profit applied science and technology organization in the world.
APS has been assessed and certified by Verisys Registrars® as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, an an internationally recognized standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). The ISO 9001:2015 certification ensures that APS has robust, clearly defined procedures in place in all business areas such as production, supply chain management, engineering, quality, risk management, and customer service. The certification process involves onsite audits and extensive policy and documentation reviews by an independent third party to ensure compliance with the standard's stringent requirements.
