Description
The mobile pantry at Second Baptist Church in Rock Island is a supplemental food source for those who are food insecure. Participants will distribute about 10,000 meals through the mobile food pantry site. The truck arrives at the site, the food container pallets are removed and lined up for distribution. Volunteers duties include:
- emptying boxes of food for distribution
- pack bulk produce, if needed
- push a grocery cart and help guests get their food
- take food to their cars
This event is open to InternQC participants, YPQC members, and Quad Cities Chamber members.
