SUMMARY:Network @ Noon - October 2017
DESCRIPTION:Connections matter: Developing Brain\, Relationships and Community\n\n \n\nTrauma and mental health have a direct impact on a workplace. In fact\, the annual cost of trauma is reported to be $671 billion a year in health care and lost productivity. As we work towards the goals of Q2030 in creating a healthier and more inclusive Quad Cities\, mental health in the workplace and in the community is an important need that is essential to address. We must create a welcoming community in which all people are embraced\, have an equal opportunity for success and know that their differences are the foundation for the region's successes.\n\n \n\nAngie Kendall\, Director of Development & Communications for the Child Abuse Council will present evidence-based facts on how stress impacts the brain\, and how together we can build relationships to improve individual and community well-being. Learn specific ideas on actions you can take in your professional and personal lives\, and identify the next steps for creating environments that strengthen families from the start\, providing children and adults with a history of trauma an opportunity to heal.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring the lunch hour\, join YPQC to enhance your personal and professional development skills. With a new speaker and topic each month\, you'll brush up on your skills each time while learning more about the local opportunities available to young professionals. Network\, grab a bite to eat\, and pick up some new insight at our monthly Network @ Noon\, typically held the second Tuesday of each month. Make sure to arrive early for check-in which will begin at 11:45 am.\n\n \n\nIf you need any special requirements to attend this meeting please contact Olivia Bussert at obussert@quadcitieschamber.com \n\n\n\nIf you work for a company that is a member of the Chamber\, you are automatically a member of YPQC and attend at YPQC member prices. If your company is not a member of the Chamber\, you can join YPQC separately for $50/year. Contact Greg Aguilar at gaguilar@quadcitieschamber.com or 563.823.2659.\n\n \n\nCancellation Policy:\n\nCancellations must be received at least 72 hours in advance in order to receive a registration refund.
