DESCRIPTION:Hub Huddles are an opportunity for manufacturing leaders to share\, on a peer-to-peer basis\, best practices for growth and strategies to overcoming challenges.\n\n \nElevate Advanced Manufacturing\n\nPresented by Alexandra Monaghan\, Program Coordinator\n\n\n\nElevate Advanced Manufacturing is a statewide\, integrated marketing campaign to promote careers and educational pathways in advanced manufacturing. This begins with building a positive perception of these careers while addressing misconceptions of work environment\, safety\, and wages. Elevate holds many events around Iowa and offers resources to the public specifically targeting manufacturers\, veterans\, educators\, along with K-12 students and their families. \n\n\n\nWhy attend? \n\n\n	Learn what resources are available to you as a manufacturer to help attract skilled workforce\n	Be exposed to a vast team of ambassadors to strengthen manufacturers\n	Become educated on current day community outreach to today's generations\n	Be proactive to strengthen the manufacturing industry and Iowa's economy\n	Learn how you can build your network\n\n\n \n\nAbout the speaker:\n\nAlexandra Monaghan is the Elevate Advanced Manufacturing Program Coordinator. She spends her work days traveling the state to spread a positive perception of the manufacturing industry by connecting K-12 students and educators to Iowa community colleges and manufacturers to help fill the skills gap in the state. \n\n\n\nAlex's interest in manufacturing began prior to Elevate. Alex worked for Northeast Iowa Community College where she focused on building relationships with manufacturing companies in rural areas. \n\n\n\nAlex grew her roots in Manchester\, Iowa. She attended Kirkwood Community College then proceeded to graduate from the University of Northern Iowa with a Communication Studies degree in 2015.\n\n \n\n Time will be provided for Q & A and networking with other attendees.\n\n\n \n\nThis event is free to attend.
